This video shows you that Sri Lanka Stands To Lose India’s Shipping Money By Becoming A Base For China. India has reaffirmed its commitment to the development of Trincomalee port in Sri Lanka during Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe’s recent State visit. These plans pale in comparison to the billion dollar investment that China has made to the port of Hambantota. But that may be for the better. The last Sri Lankan government of Mahinda Rajapaksa placed his country into a Beijing debt trap, borrowing $8 billion at absurdly high rates of interest, to build the port. Colombo today struggles to pay this off, largely by being forced to borrow money from more user-friendly sources. Sri Lankans across the political spectrum envision a future in which they become a logistical hub fo...

Well what it's like to be at the departure gate in Colombo/Katunayake until its time for your flight? Here's a glimpse of some ground activity at Colombo International Airport while waiting to catch yet another UL outbound. Nice to see a Sri Lankan A320 4R-ABJ taxing to gate, you hardly see them well most of the time with the fleet heavily involved in short haul operations. Who can have me known the songs (esp. the last 15secondes one) and the boy on western beach in Sri Lanka? Feb 25, 2012, near 6pm - the last day of my trip in Sri Lanka. The train goes along the Indian Ocean: Mt. Lavinia (Dehiwala) - Colombo - Dematagoda -- Negombo. I got on from Mount Lavinia back to Negombo and would go back to China the next day. A group boys of 18 years old were on the same train with me from railway station Mount Lavinia. They sang and danced, full of energy! I loved those happy songs, though could not understand the lyric. I was given a present by the very handsome one, which quite match with my pink-colored cloth. When back to Shanghai, I find one night it is luminous. So sweet~! I was a bit shy to ask back the name & email that day on the train. And when b...
